Trinidad to introduce ordinance regulating cannabis

TRINIDAD – New cannabis regulations will be introduced in Trinidad.
Council is expected to hold a first reading of an ordinance banning commercial cannabis manufacturing and sales at Wednesday night’s regular meeting.
The ordinance would also ban all outdoor cultivation and outline a permitting process for those wishing to grow indoors.
A fee for those permits will be adopted at a later meeting.
If council accepts the ordinance as is, it will take effect thirty days after the second reading set for mid-November.
The meeting begins at 6:00 Wednesday night at Trinidad Town Hall.
