Marci Kitchen jury trial could be delayed; motion to continue will be heard Wednesday

EUREKA – Marci Kitchen’s jury trial was scheduled to begin next month, but that’s now in doubt after a motion to delay was filed Monday morning.
Marci Kitchen is accused of striking and killing two teenagers, Faith Tsarnas and Kiya Kitchen, with her Jeep on Eel River Drive in Fortuna last July.
The jury trial was expected to begin on November 13th.
Monday morning attorneys filed a motion to continue that trial according to court records.
A judge will consider whether or not to grant the delay on Wednesday.
