‘Save the Redwoods League’ celebrates 100 years

Preserving the Redwoods is this group’s mission, and since they’ve been making that effort now for one hundred years – they’re celebrating by, you guessed it, taking a hike.

The Save the Redwoods League turns 100 this year, and in honor of the centennial celebration, they’re offering free passes the second Saturday of each month of 2018 to all 40 Redwood State Parks in California.

Here on the North Coast, free guided hikes and tours will be offered in celebration – the first kicking off this weekend.

On this Saturday at 10AM, all are invited to attend a one hour hike through Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park for a salmon tour.
