Spectrum impasse, Crescent City resident talks

CRESCENT CITY- Residents of Crescent City tell us they’re fed up with not being able to watch News Channel 3 and our sister station, KVIQ on their cable company.

The company that owns our stations is trying to negotiate with cable giant, Spectrum, to put our news, weather, sports and other programs back on its system.

Not only is spectrum refusing to talk to us, they’re apparently not saying a lot to angry customers, either like Crescent City resident John O’Malley.

“Charter is not giving much information and I filed a complaint with the FCC. Someone called from Charter and I said we want my channels back. They gave me info to watch channels on an antenna but that doesn’t work here in the area. People are getting rid of charter and going with Direct TV. That’s going to hurt them.”

We would like to have our programming back on the cable in Crescent City, but again, Spectrum isn’t negotiating.

We appreciate our viewers and hope Spectrum decides to resolve this issue. We’d like to know what you think about the situation. Call us at (707) 443-3123, email us at news@redwoodnews.tv or post a comment on twitter or our Facebook page.
