Two burglary suspects arrested in Fortuna

FORTUNA, CA. (KIEM) – Two burglary suspects are behind bars after being spotted in Fortuna.

A residential burglary was reported in the Ferndale area Wednesday at 11:45AM.

A homeowner on Camp Weott Road returned to find the suspects stealing power tools from their barn.

When confronted, they got away with two keys to tractor equipment.

Later in the afternoon, the two suspects were seen in a white Nissan Xterra in Fortuna, and arrested on West School Street.

They are identified as 28-year-old Brandon Buchholz and 31-year-old Ryan Whittington.
