Waterline construction to shut down several roads in Eureka on Tuesday

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – There is some construction you should know about before your morning commute on Tuesday.

The City of Eureka is fixing up critical water systems near Buhne and E Streets.

Because of this, these streets outlined in green will be closed from 7AM on Tuesday, to the end of the day.

That includes:

Buhne from D to F Streets
E Street from Huntoon to Long Street
Long Street from D to E streets

Also, during this work, water service will be interrupted for part of the day for customers on E street, in the yellow highlighted areas. That includes those on E Street, from Long to Henderson, during the first part of the day.

The city asks you use alternate routes if possible, and be mindful of those at work.
