D Street deaths ruled a murder suicide

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- On Friday night the bodies of a man and woman were found behind closed doors in D Street in Eureka. Their deaths have now been ruled a murder suicide.

Eureka Police responded the 3200 block of D Street on a welfare check, just after 8:00 p.m. August 3.

Officers forced entry, and found the bodies of a man and woman. It appears, the female victim suffered from “multiple lacerations.” The man’s fatal wounds seem to be self inflicted.

The coroner’s office has not released positive identification for either of the people involved. Autopsies are scheduled for later this week.
