North Country Fair wraps up until next year

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) North Country Fair, a Humboldt County tradition since 1974 wraps up Sunday.

Humboldt County residents came out to the Arcata Main Street Plaza to enjoy their last day of over 150 art and craft vendors, a variety food booths, activities for kids and more.

An army of beautiful samba dancers along with a massive drum line, stole the show as the group grooved and entertained attendees throughout Plaza.

Vendor, Gretchen Immel of Gretchen Unfiltered, said although she’s working the fair, she loves the sense of family and community throughout the plaza,

“I feel so connected with so many people, that’s what life is,” shared the owner of Gretchen Unfiltered. “Life can be really Mundane and simple sometimes and it’s our every day interactions that weave us together.”

The North Country Fair, organizer’s state, has been declared a celebration of resilience, a nod to the current political environment and unified strength to carry on.
