Bear sighting at College of the Redwoods

A bear is spotted on campus of the College of the Redwoods just before 11 last night. Public safety with CR tells us they heard a splash by the North Ponds on the Eureka campus before spotting the large creature.

Later that night, an alert email was sent out to all students urging them to stay away from the area, with a list of strategies if an encounter were to occur. Today class resumed as usual.
