APD: Man stabbed in early morning altercation

ARCATA, Ca (KIEM)- One man is recovering after he was stabbed early Friday morning in Arcata. Just after two, officers were dispatched to the  800 block of J Street and located the 22 year-old man who was stabbed during an altercation.

According to the APD, the victim and his friend had been skateboarding with three other men they had just met. But a physical fight broke out between the men and resulted with the man being stabbed. The suspect who is a white male in his 20’s, fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Mad River Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
