Arcata Police opens their doors to the public

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM)- Arcata Police are showing off some of their newest upgrades to the public today.

With some work done to the dispatch center, newly installed chief Ahearn was on hand to lead residents on tours through the department, as well as the mobile command vehicle. K-9 officer baron was also there to greet visitors, who were also treated to some coffee, and of course donuts. This is one of many recent community outreach efforts spearheaded by the new chief of police.
