Remains of Santa Rosa man found in Eel River

MENDOCINO COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM)- Human remains found in the Eel River in Piercy back on December 5th are that of a missing Santa Rosa man.

The Mendocino County Corner’s Office was able to positively identify the man as 52-year-old Bruce Allen Thompson.

Thompson was reported missing on November 13th when he left Eureka, but never arrived to his Sonoma County home.

His car was later found parked on the side of the road near Confusion Hill.

Thompson had been suffering from depression due to a serious decline in his health. The exact cause of death is not known at this time.
