Two Humboldt State graduates to be honored by Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca., (KIEM) – Two Humboldt State graduates receive the Community Service award from the Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group.

Dr. Jason Patton and Todd Becker are the recipients of the 2019 honor.

Patton was instrumental in developing the first tsunami hazard maps for Humboldt County in 2002.

Becker developed an interactive web-based app for Humboldt County in order to locate tsunami hazard zones to specific locations anywhere in the area.

They both will be recognized at the Tsunami Tspagheti feed next Saturday night at six in the Humboldt Grange.
