Fortuna City Council Moves Forward with Second Reading for Freeway Commercial Zoning District Ordinance

FORTUNA, Ca. (KIEM) – After a first reading, the Fortuna City Council will move forward with a second reading for its Freeway Commercial Zoning District Ordinance.

Two different zoning amendments are on the table. One of them is to allow a mix of Commercial Retail actives within the Riverwalk district.

The second one is to change the zoning designation from Freeway Commercial to Commercial Thoroughfare. This will allow a wider range of uses than those allowable in the Freeway Commercial Zone.

The Fortuna City Council meets Monday night at 6 in City Hall.
