Man Rushed to Hospital after Accidental Shooting


WILLOW, CA., (KIEM) – One man is rushed to the hospital after an accidental shooting near Willow Creek.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lacks Creek and Bair Road. According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, three men were target shooting when one of the men was unloading his gun and accidentally squeezed the trigger and struck another man.

The 35-year-old victim who was setting up a target, was shot in his right leg. He was transported to a local hospital where’s he’s listed in stable condition. The Sheriff’s Office tells us both men are friends.
