Pony Express Day Showcases Dozens of Parade Floats

MCKINLEYVILLE (KIEM) – Pony Express Day is ongoing and one main highlights is the Pony Express Parade!

The celebration started back in 1969. Dozens of floats marched down the central avenue with participation from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters, and many local businesses.

McKinleyville resident Ryan Ahrens says he’s been going to these parades for over 20 years and it’s a good way to show off the community.
