95TH Annual Ferndale Portuguese Celebration Wraps with Parade

FERNDALE, CA (KIEM) – Its a tradition of celebration and bringing the community together.

The 95th annual Ferndale Portuguese celebration wrapped up Sunday with several events including a parade in the Victorian village.

Residents lined Main Street for the parade that started at the Portuguese Hall and continued to the Church of Assumption for Mass.

 After the service, there was lunch along with an auction at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds and the day ended with a dinner. The Big Queen for the celebration is Mary Rocha. The little queen was Brooklyn Gonzalez and her Side Maids were Brianna Hall and Miranda Hall.
