Arcata and Mad River Transit System offers free Bus Rides for month of July

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) The city of Arcata Transportation Division announced this weekend that the Arcata and Mad River Transit System will be offering free bus rides for the month of July.

The effort is a part of the city’s explore Arcata Transportation Program. The program aims to expand the use of public transportation by encouraging residents and visitors to take the bus to explore Arcata’s neighborhoods, businesses, parks, and recreation spaces.

Free bus rides in Arcata will begin July 1 until Wednesday, July 31.

The transit service offers routes that run Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM in summer months.
