Hearst Foundation Gives Grant to HSU Help Combat Student Financial Challenges

ARCATA (KIEM) – The Hearst Foundation awarded Humboldt State University a $100,000 dollars to help students who face many financial challenges.

The money will go towards meeting basic student needs, such as access to health care, emergency housing, scholarships for low-income students, and other types of adversity support.

HSU says, the money will help break down barriers and brings the school one step closer to a future where no student drops out of college due to financial reasons.
