Health Experts Say Young Adults Drawn to Vaping and E-Cigarette Use Due to Flavors and Trends

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – According to the CDC, more than 18 million middle and high school students were exposed to e-cigarettes ads in 2014.

E-cigarettes come in many forms, they also go by vapes. But one of the most popular forms is called Juuling. In 2016, Juul surged in popularity among young people.

According to The Truth Initiative, between 2011 and 2017 e-cigarette use increased in both high school and middle school students.

Health expert say, the reason why young adults are drawn to vaping or Juuling is because of its flavors and social media challenges. Experts also say, it’s important for adults to have an open conversation about e-cigarette use and the impacts it could have.
