Caltrans Awards Scholarships to High School Seniors

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM)– Tuesday, two local high school graduates were awarded transportation scholarships by Caltrans District 1.

Caltrans awarded two fifteen hundred dollar scholarships as part of its 2019 scholarship program. It’s all thanks to the generosity of its district employees and support from the California Transportation Foundation.

For the past eight years, District 1 employees have been generating the funds from fundraising activities.

The program supports college-bound high school senior.
