Local kid diagnosed with Leukemia

FORTUNA, Ca (KIEM) – A single mother in Fortuna receives devastating news that her 4-year-old daughter was diagnosed with ALL B-Cell Leukemia.

Chelsea Ray is a mother of three and a full-time HSU student. Last week, doctors told Ray that her daughter Stevi has cancer. Chelsea and her daughter Stevi are currently in San Francisco, as Stevi just started chemotherapy.

The treatment plan could take weeks in the Golden Gate City. To help with medical bills and travel expenses, they’re asking for the public’s help in this unexpected circumstance.

Chelsea’s goal is to continue school at HSU while taking care of Stevi. There is a GoFundMe page set up for donations.
