Shed destroyed by fire in Eureka

EUREKA, CA (KIEM)-A fire destroyed a shed at a Eureka residence. Just after 1 Tuesday afternoon, Humboldt Bay Fire responded to the 1400 block of McFarlan Avenue in Eureka.

When firefighters arrived on scene there was heavy black smoke coming from the back of the home.

It took crews around 13 minutes to bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is not known.

Eureka and Arcata police along with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office also responded to the scene.
