EUREKA (KIEM)– A new festival has made its way to Eureka. It kicked off Thursday, showcasing all the local talent that Humboldt County has to offer.

This is the first year for the Eureka Fringe Festival and couldn’t be in a better place.

Humboldt County is home to more performing artists per capita than almost anywhere in the country.

Those who do not know what fringe theatre is… It is experimental in subject or style manner. This festival allows those to have a bit more fun and try something different…

The best part about it all is it encourages everyone to come out and display their best work on a center stage for all to enjoy.
