Congressman Jared Huffman to discuss federal fisheries management in Arcata

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) California Congressman Jared Huffman, announced that he will be coming to the city of Arcata.

Congressman Huffman, Chair of the House Subcommittee on Water, Oceans, and Wildlife, will be at the D Street Community Center on Saturday, October 5 to discuss federal fisheries management.

Congressman Huffman, experts, and stakeholders will include an examination of current and future challenges and will explore potential solutions.

This roundtable is the first stop on a nationwide listening tour designed to engage diverse perspectives and needs of individuals who have a stake in the management of federal ocean and fisheries resources.

The event begins at 2:30 PM and is free and open to the public.

The public must register to attend.

Guests will be able to submit written questions during the discussion.
