Humboldt County Students Participate in the statewide Great California ShakeOut Drill

EUREKA (KIEM) – Here on the North Coast, students participated in the Great California ShakeOut. They dropped, took cover, and held on!

At 10:17 A.M. this morning, Washington Elementary participated in the biggest earthquake drill in the world. This year, more than 10.7 million people statewide joined in on the drill. While 65.9 million people around the world participated.

The Great California ShakeOut Drill happens every October 17th.
