Arcata House Partnership Offering Shelter During Cold Nights

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM)– The Arcata House Partnership is making sure no one goes cold nor hungry during these cold nights.

The shelter is hosting an Extreme Weather Shelter and began intakes at 4:15 Friday evening for the homeless. Staff conducted shelter screenings, scheduled showers and provided clothes to those who need it.

The shelter participants also received a dinner, along with a warm, safe environment to sleep, and then will enjoy a warm breakfast before they go back to their daily lives Saturday morning.

The Extreme Weather Shelter is supported solely on donations. Clothing and financial support are greatly appreciated.

The shelter is located on 501 Ninth Street in Arcata.
