First Annual Water Rescue Relays and Surf Competition Takes Place in Trinidad

TRINIDAD, Ca. (KIEM)- The first annual Water Rescue Relays and Surf Competition was a great success!

The competition was hosted by the State Park Life Guards at College Cove in Trinidad.

Participants in the event included Humboldt Bay Fire, the U.S. Coast Guard, State Parks Life Guards and Junior Lifeguards.

The event started with a triathlon relay with a beach run, open water ocean swim, a rescue board paddle, and ended with a longboard surf competition. ff
