Humboldt State University Receives $640,000 for Basic Needs

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt State University received $640,000 dollars in funding for basic needs. The funding came from the California State University Basic Needs Partnership.

$560,000 dollars from the fund will be used to support and expand programs that address food and housing insecurity among students, and $80,000 will support research projects conducted by the department of social work.

H.S.U. basic needs program support the C.S.U Chancellor’s Office’s Graduation Initiative 2025 by helping to support students as they work on attaining their degree.
