Mad River Hospital receives masks from the community

ARCATA, Ca (KIEM)-Mad River Community Hospital in Arcata has been looking for alternative solutions to protect their staff in response to the supply chain disruption from Covid-19.

Donations of homemade personal protection masks are being accepted. They have already received over 100 locally sewn masks from the Humboldt Coronavirus Mask Makers Facebook group and are excepting donations  from other community members.

Dou can find instructions on the hospital’s Facebook page. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from noon to 2 pm at the main entrance of Mad River Hospital.
