Del Norte residents to hold rally to support local businesses

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM)-Del Norte county residents will gather Tuesday for a noontime rally requesting state governor Gavin Newsom make changes to some of the executive orders currently in place.

They want to see the re-openings of local businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19. Del Norte like many other rural counties are being challenged to maintain services and are facing layoffs unless revenue streams are resumed.

According to the Del Norte County Health Department, the two residents who had COVID-19 have since recovered.

Tuesday’s rally will be held at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds in Crescent City.
