Blood Bank Suspends Capital Campaign

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Due to the current Covid 19 crisis, the Northern California Community Blood Bank has announced they will temporarily put a hold on fundraising for their much needed new blood mobile.

They say fundraising is planned for later this year.

Due to closures, the blood bank say’s they have lost nearly a quarter of their collection opportunities with the closures of local high schools and college campuses.

Director of donor resources, John Gullam said quote, “We will accept any donations we receive in the coming months but we recognize the financial needs in our community right now that we’ve chosen to take a break. we intend to re-launch the campaign later this summer.”
