SUV Crashes, Catches on Fire in Southern Humboldt

GARBERVILLE, Ca. (KIEM) – Crews responded to a fiery crash in Southern Humboldt. According to the CHP, a Cadillac Escalade went off the roadway and slide down an embankment, and landed on its side in a riverbank, then caught fire.

It incident happened on the Hooker Creek Road on-ramp and highway 101 South just after 6:30 Wednesday evening.

There were minor injuries reported. We are continuing to monitor this story and will have more information as it becomes available.
