Local beachgoers are pleased with Governor Newsom’s ruling

SAMOA, Ca (KIEM) – Along with Sheriff Honsal and Dr. Frankovich, many locals are pleased with Governor Newsom’s ruling of keeping Northern California beaches open.

Local residents are happy they can still roam the beaches while following social distancing and face covering guidelines.

Many beachgoers expressed their concern about acknowledging the difference between Northern and Southern California beaches.

They were concerned about not being able to visit one of the only recreational areas that is still open to the public.

We went to Samoa Beach and talked to some residents on the decision.
