Commercial Vehicle Fire Occurs Near 11th and N Street in Arcata

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM)– Local fire stations were dispatched to a commercial vehicle fire located in Arcata between 11th and N street.

The fire began at around 7 a.m. Arcata fire station, McKinleyville Fire Station, and Arcata Police Department were all on scene.

A member from Arcata Fire helped deploy a hose line to prevent the fire from spreading to a building adjacent to the fire. Later McKinleyville Fire Station went into the building to check for occupants and fire extension, no one was found.

The total cost in damages is over $10,000 and the value saved is $2,000,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation
