Search and Rescue Efforts Continue for Missing Man near Trinidad

Trinidad, Ca. (KIEM) — The search continues for a young man who fell into the ocean just outside of Trinidad.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the Elk Head area, just north of College Cove in Trinidad — around 2:30 pm Thursday for a report of a 22-year-old Victorville man falling into the ocean.

Search efforts began immediately and continued Friday, with search teams from the Sheriff’s Office, California State Parks, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Cal Fire using boats, trained rescue swimmers, and a helicopter to actively search for the man.
