“Stand Against Police Brutality: Justice For George Floyd” protest at Humboldt County Courthouse

Eureka, Ca (KIEM) – What started as roughly 600 protesters around 3 p.m., marching in and around the Humboldt County Courthouse to protest against police brutality on Saturday, dwindled down to about 100 by 8 p.m.

Protesters could be seen holding signs, chanting and marching up and down, north and south side of the 101.

Law enforcement blocked off several streets around the courthouse as they redirected traffic away from the crowds earlier today.

About two hours after the initial protest began, law officials blocked off Broadway Street as more protestors gathered to show their solidarity for the death of George Floyd.
