Humboldt County Coroner’s Office identifies body found in safety corridor

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Coroner’s Office identifies the deceased male found along the Safety Corridor as 66-year-old Robert Wolfe.  

His body was found on June 10th in the center divider on Highway 101 near the Indianola cutoff. Wolfe was reported to the Eureka Police Department as a missing person. He was last seen walking near the 2100 block Pine Street in Eureka on May 10th. 

The Coroner’s Office says Wolfe was not involved in any type of traffic collision and the cause of death is unknown. According to the initial report by California Highway Patrol, there is no evidence to suspect foul play.
