10,000 Pounds of Illegal Fireworks Seized

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A man is arrested after over 10,000 pounds of illegal fireworks are found at his home.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies dispatched to the 7-hundred block of alpha street just after  10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Cal-fire law enforcement officers seized over 10-thousand pounds of illegal fireworks.

34-year old Zackery Edward Brown was booked into jail on charges of possession of more than 5,000 pounds of dangerous fireworks, sale, delivery, and possession of dangerous fireworks without a permit.

The fireworks will be transferred to the California Fire Marshall and safely destroyed.
