$120,000 investment to Expand Child Care

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Child care capacity in Humboldt County will soon be expanded thanks to a $120,000 investment from First 5 Humboldt and the Humboldt Area Foundation.

The funding will be used to help local child care providers reopen or stay open as more than half of all licensed care facilities have been closed since the Shelter in Place order began back in March.

Applications for the child care capacity incentive are available online and will be accepted through October 15th when the funding will be made available.
