Flu Vaccines Now Available at Local Pharmacies

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) -Vaccinations for the 20-21 flu season are now available at several local pharmacies.

Studies by the Center for Disease Control suggest that the flu shot reduces the risk of illness by 40%- to – 60% among the overall population.

The CDC recommends the shot for everyone over six months old, and that the vaccines are administered by October so they have a few weeks to become fully effective.
