HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Beginning Tuesday, the county is issuing single-day access permits to farmers to check on their property within the current evacuation order zone.
The passes allow agriculture and livestock farmers temporary access to check on the well-being of their property and care for livestock and crops. One vehicle per pass can enter the zone beginning at 10 am and must exit by 6 pm that same day.
Farmers must show valid ID, and must match the owner listed on the permit of operations for the property. Questions can be directed to the Humboldt County Planning and Building Department.
