CR Athletics names Aiello interim baseball head coach

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – The College of the Redwoods baseball team will have a new head coach this season. Assistant Coach Andrew Aiello was selected as Brad Morgan’s replacement.

Athletic Director Bob Brown said after recent challenges, it was time for a change in leadership. Aiello will become the interim head coach while Morgan will remain in the athletics department. Aiello will coach for the remainder of the semester and through the 2021 season. After five seasons, Morgan will step away from the team. In his time at CR he became the third most winning coach in program history with 46 wins.

As CR Athletics looks to the future, Brown explained what the timeline will look like. The search for a permanent head coach will begin in January if there is no season or in mid-March if a season takes place.
