Zogg Fire has burned 55,300 acres, now 26% contained

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Zogg Fire continues to burn near Igo in Shasta County, but firefighters were successful overnight in increasing containment.

At last check, the fire is about 55,300 acres in size and now is at 26% containment. There are about 1,300 personnel fighting the fire.

All evacuations and road closures in the surrounding area remain in effect.
