Progress Being Made Battling the Zogg Fire

SHASTA COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – firefighters are making great progress in their battle with the Zogg Fire in Shasta County…

The fire is just over 56,000 acres in size, and is now 76% contained.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and Cal-Fire officials have been able to lift a majority of the evacuation orders.

However, evacuation orders remain in effect for Zogg Mine Road and Sunny Hill Road West of its intersection with Rainbow Lake Road.

According to Cal-Fire, 202 structures have been destroyed by the fire and 27 structures have been damaged.
