Military to Combat the August Complex Fire

HUMBOLDT, MENDOCINO, AND TRINITY COUNTIES, Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire grows to 1,006,140 acres with 58% containment.

Crews are working north of State Route 36 to cut the fire off with a primary and secondary fire containment line.

Firefighters are making great progress putting out spot fires north of Ruth Lake and West of South Fork Ridge-which is now stable.

More than 250 marines and sailors from Camp Pendleton are coming in to help out beginning on October 7^th.
