4 new Covid-19 cases, 10 more recoveries reported Monday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports four new cases of Covid-19 Monday. This brings the county’s total case count to 522. Health officials are monitoring 21 active cases.

In the last week, 4 more cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 7 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 3 more in southern Humboldt.

As far as the gender breakdown, 51% of cases have been male and 47% have been female. The gender breakdown for 2% of cases is unknown. The mean age of cases is 36.

On a more encouraging note, 10 more recoveries have been reported as well bringing that number to 493. Of the total cases, 337 had contact with a known case, 108 are travel related, and 71 a result of community transmission. There are 6 cases under investigation.
