Humboldt County moves into yellow tier, new changes in Covid-19 restrictions

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Humboldt County has moved into the least restrictive yellow tier under the state’s reopening plan meaning local businesses can now expand services and increase capacity limits. The move is based on the local case count and positivity rate.

Here’s a look at specific changes. Common areas in shopping centers can open, but still have reduced capacity in food courts. Museums and zoos no longer have a capacity limit.

Places of worship, movie theaters, and gyms and fitness centers can now open at 50% capacity. Same goes for restaurants.

Wineries can operate at 50% or with 200 people indoors, whichever is fewer. Bars and breweries can operate indoors with modifications and 50% max capacity. Family entertainment centers and cardrooms are included in that 50% max capacity as well.
