The August Complex Fire reaches 88% containment

SHASTA, TRINITY, MENDOCINO COUNTIES, Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire is over 1,032,000  acres with 88% containment.

An increase in humidity over the weekend helped decrease the fire activity in the North West zone of the August Complex Fire.

Crews were able to improve containment lines and perform firing operations near Coffee Pot.

Crews continue to remove hazardous trees and debris from the 502 and 511 roads, and suppression repair activities in the Ruth Lake area.
