SAN JOSE, Calif. (KIEM) – As the Mountain West Conference returned to action Saturday, one team represented Humboldt State University.

When the San Jose State University Football Team took the field, each player donned a helmet with an HSU decal on the back.

SJSU recently held part of training camp on the HSU campus due to COVID-19 restrictions in Santa Clara County. After 12 days, SJSU was cleared for practice back on their own turf in San Jose. The team returned home after the county moved into the moderate tier.

In a low scoring game, SJSU ultimately defeated Air Force 17-6 while wearing the HSU sticker.
